We are happy to announce the new ACCD Faculty Handbook! It can also be found on inside. There is a lot of good info in here, please take some time to check it out. It’s a living document, so please let us know if you have suggestions for changes or corrections!
Fred is now taking applications for Faculty Titles – this only happens once per year (and didn’t happen in 2012) so take the opportunity to apply!

Our next meeting is Thursday, 4-6pm in the faculty lounge at Hillside. As always, it’s a full agenda:
-We’ll be meeting with George Falardeau and Rollin Homer to get more specifics on the latest facilities and real estate issues.
-Paul Soady will update us about possible changes to independent studies being considered by the Student Academic Policy committee.
-Pascual Wawoe is working on an info-graphic for the Diversity committee to better visualize the make-up of the college.
-We’ll also briefly discuss the stipends which will be awarded at our meeting Week 09, and the FEG process that needs to begin soon.
Time permitting we will also talk about ongoing issues such as outreach, strengthening our role in governance, and establishing our goals for 2013.
As Art Center Faculty Council wraps its first meeting, the agendas for future meetings are discussed.
One subject that continues to rise to the top of discussions is the desire for input from faculty.
Some faculty have reached the end of the their term on Faculty Council, and will be replaced with department elections. An announcement requesting nominations for each vacant seat will post soon.
As fall term comes to a close, ACFC will elect its new co-chair and set the agenda items to address in the first term of 2011.
