Who are we talking to?

June 17th, 2008 at 3:55 pmHi Joseph,
As we mentioned in another comment, we have a small team working collectively to moderate the blog. Our job as moderators is to forward your questions to the appropriate person, and then to post their answers here, and we’ll continue trying to streamline the process.

June 19th, 2008 at 4:05 pmHi Joseph,
“We” are in Editorial Services, under the direction of Vanessa Silberman. Again, our role is to direct your comments and questions to the appropriate staff member and post their responses here.

June 19th, 2008 at 4:59 pmHoly cra&, so in addition to PR, design, architecture and whatever, now we have “editorial services”? This bridge is starting to creak under all the weight.

June 20th, 2008 at 4:34 pmYes, Joseph, Art Center requires trained writers and editors to develop, write, edit and proofread print and online materials for the College, including: student catalogs to tell the Art Center story to prospective students; DOT magazine to expand the dialogue on art and design to the larger community; OuterCircle to keep alumni connected to one another; invitations, grad materials and exhibition brochures to raise awareness of Art Center’s accomplishments, including those of its students; department one-sheets to summarize the various disciplines; campaign materials to help solicit donations to the College for scholarships and endowment; event materials to help promote important lectures, conferences and summits at the College; and email blasts to advertise and promote Art Center and its Public Programs. These are but a few of the written communications we work on, and they don’t just appear out of thin air! As you can imagine, our small staff of three people are kept extremely busy.
