Art Center, we’ve made it to the final week of the term—Week 14—and you know what that means: tons of events culminating in Graduation on Saturday.

Rest up and prepare for:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 17, 7-9 p.m.: Art Center at Night Open House (South Campus)
  • Thursday, Aug 18 5 pm: Teen Art Park Unveiling (Hillside Campus. Free and open to all.)
  • Thursday, Aug. 18, 6 pm: Graduation Show Preview and Alumni Reception (invitation only)
  • Saturday, Aug. 20, 3:30 pm: Faculty Reception (faculty, special guests and College leadership)
  • Saturday, Aug. 20, 5 pm: Summer 2011 Graduation (Hillside Campus, and webcast live)
  • Saturday, Aug. 20, 7 pm: Graduation Show (Hillside Campus)

  • Wednesday, April 20, 7-9 pm: Experience Art Center at Night (South Campus)
  • Thursday, April  21, 6 pm: Graduation Show Preview and Alumni Reception (invitation only)
  • Saturday, April 23, 2:30 pm: Faculty Reception (faculty, special guests and College leadership)
  • Saturday, April 23, 4 pm: Spring Term Graduation (Hillside Campus, and webcast live)
  • Saturday, April 23, 4-10 pm: MFA Open Studios (South Campus)
  • Saturday, April 23, 6 pm: Graduation Show (Hillside Campus)

It’s a jam-packed few days. But don’t worry—there’s still time to sneak in a nap before the fun begins!

Join us this evening for a presentation and celebration of the College’s new five-year strategic plan, hosted by Art Center President Lorne Buchman. Can’t attend in person? Awards Honor Exceptional Alumni

Each December, the College and Office of Alumni Relations present the Art Center Alumni Awards to three outstanding alumni.

The winners, chosen by the Art Center community, are recognized during the Fall Term graduation ceremony.

We are honored to announce the following Art Center Alumni Award winners at Saturday’s commencement:

  • Doyald Young ADVT 55, awarded the Lifetime Achievement Alumnus Award in recognition of his dedicated work as an educator and lifetime of legendary work in typography, logotypes and alphabets.
  • Stephanie Sigg GRAD ID ’98, awarded the Outstanding Service Alumni Award in honor of her humanitarian design impact through her work with various NGOs, nonprofits and cause-related campaigns.
  • Geetika Agrawal GRAD ID ’05, awarded the Young Alumni Innovator Award in recognition of her passion and accomplishments in social media, digital culture, physical interactive art and new technologies.

Congratulations to our alumni for these well-deserved marks of distinction!
