WordPress Roles

WordPress allows blog administrators to assign different roles to different users. There are five roles available, each with particular abilities:

Administrators have full access to site’s administrative functions, including the ability to publish content and manage user accounts.

Editors can publish and edit content created by themselves and other blog users.

Authors can publish and edit their own posts.

Contributors can create and edit posts but not publish them.

Subscribers can read and leave comments.
