From art installations inspired by NASA’S space oddities to a self-styled museum in Japan: Art Center alums have been busy in February. Read on for more details about last month’s alumni accomplishments, including Designmatters’ new alumni engagement efforts.

Exhibitions

Timothy Clark ILLU 70 is exhibiting a selection of his watercolors at  Lois Wagner Fine Arts in New York. March10th – March 31st. Lois Wagner Fine Arts

Jason Mascow ILLU 97 opened his solo show, The Space Between Instants, on March 8th at the Keystone Gallery in Los Angeles.  March 8th – 18th.  Keystone Gallery

Crowdfunding

Christopher Marion Thomas ILLU 12 is raising funds for a new collection of works on canvas and was recently featured in an interview on Art Book Guy’s top five artists.  Hatchfund, Art Book Guy

Designmatters

Check out the Designmatters newly revamped Alumni Engagement section on the DM website, to learn about Art Center alumni who are making promising contributions in the arena of social impact design.    You can also use this new section as a gateway to connect to the Designmatters Alumni Group on Facebook as well as, read past Alumni Spotlight Stories.

This month’s Designmatters Alumni Spotlight features Erik Molano GRPH 12.  Erik currently works for Microsoft and is a member of AIGA Seattle, where he organized his first “Paper Plane” Sustainable Design Workshop.
