Meet Mitos Corpus

After noticing a lack of interaction between different term students in her department, advertising major Mitos Corpus got to work helping organize a brainstorming and homework session for advertising students.

“What began as a place to do homework has become a place where advertising students can work together and critique each other’s work,” Mitos says.

Meet Bryce Butcher

Product Design student Bryce Butcher says that she first set her sights on attending Art Center while in elementary school.

“After experiencing what other colleges were like, the professionalism and level of work done by the students at Art Center surpassed anything I could compare it to. I knew that if I wanted to be a successful professional in Product Design, I had to attend Art Center.”

Meet Orlando Sanabria

Graphic Design student Orlando Sanabria says that Art Center’s experienced instructors have made a huge difference in his time here.

“The projects I’ve worked on have challenged me, and helped me to develop my skills as a designer,” he says. “The high level of networking with working professionals has exposed me to the different fields within graphic design. And critiques with instructors have shown me how to fully utilize my creativity.”

Meet Magdalena Paluch

GradID student Magdalena Paluch says that one of the most challenging aspects of Art Center can be prioritizing.

“Sometimes I feel like a little girl in a candy store, there are so many classes I want to take, so many instructors I want to work with, so many projects I want to do—and not nearly enough time to do it all,” says Paluch.

Meet Mariana Prieto

For Mariana Prieto, the path to Art Center was a journey on many levels.

Moving to the U.S. from Spain to attend the College, Prieto says that “becoming a better designer meant leaving a school where I was comfortable and reapplying to a place that had already rejected me—but it was all for an enormous reward.”
