A – Educational Structures
Our group will be blogging privately to produce a standard questionnaire so we will all be asking the same questions of various institutions. Mariana will be traveling to New York next week and will meet with individuals from Pratt, Parsons and SVA.
Nik suggested that we create a chart that lays out a matrix of schools so that we can provide a context for the information that we gather. Each school will be evaluated according to the following 3 axes: from commercial to non-commercial; from conservative to progressive models of teaching and the relationship between theory, craft and humanities.
